Wade Cook
Executive Coach, CEO

About Me

  • My work is rooted in a simple belief: people have an extraordinary capacity to heal, grow, and create new possibilities for their lives.

  • As the founder of Wade Empowers, I bring together peer support, recovery coaching, spiritual exploration, Reiki, sound healing, deep listening, and decades of experience as an educator and facilitator. My approach is holistic, but deeply human. I’m less interested in telling people who they should become than in helping them reconnect with their own wisdom, resilience, and sense of possibility.

  • My own life has included trauma, recovery, reinvention, and profound transformation. Those experiences have shaped not only who I am, but how I meet others—with curiosity, compassion, and a belief that our most difficult chapters do not have to become the final word in our story.

  • I hold a BA in Education and am a California Certified Peer Support Specialist. For many years, I have served as an educator, speaker, facilitator, peer supporter, and advocate within recovery and HIV communities. My work has included Project UpFront in Las Vegas, Project L.E.A.P. in Houston, the Ryan White Planning Council of Southern Nevada, Desert AIDS Project in Palm Springs, Being Alive Los Angeles, and the HIV+ Aging Research Project. I have also worked as a peer coach and facilitator with Columbia University’s From Hardship to Hope program.

  • But credentials and experience tell only part of the story.

  • What matters most to me is creating a space where you can exhale. Where you don’t have to perform or have everything figured out. Where we can listen together for what is changing, what is asking to be healed, and what might be ready to emerge.

  • I’m not here as someone who has arrived. I’m here as a fellow explorer—walking beside you as you return home to yourself.
